With more than 20 years’ service to children’s media, Michael has a wealth of experience and a deep understanding of how to deliver great content for children. Before joining Zodiak Media as CEO of The Foundation, Michael ran creative at HIT Entertainment, overseeing Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder, Mike the Knight, and Fireman Sam. Previously, he was Chief Content Officer at Cartoon Network Europe managing all creative output and exec produced The Amazing World of Gumball. Earlier, at the BBC he commissioned acclaimed series like Shaun the Sheep and The Secret Show. And as the first Controller of CBeebies, Michael successfully commissioned many iconic pre-school programs such as Waybuloo, In the Night Garden, and Charlie & Lola. He led the channel to win a number of prestigious awards including an RTS award for Craft Innovation, and the BAFTA Children’s Channel of the Year.
