Allana Harkin is a Toronto based Actor/Writer/Comedian and huge fan of children’s television. She can be seen regularly as ‘Dino Dan’s Mom’ on the Emmy Award Winning Series Dino Dan and Dino Dan: Trek’s Adventures (TVO/Nick Jr) as well as many other hit shows such as Degrassi:TNG (Teen Nick/MTV/CTV), Annedroids (Amazon/TVO), Make it Pop (Nickelodeon), The Ron James Show (CBC) and Lost Girl (Syfy/Showcase).
As a comedian Allana was a founding member of the hugely successful troupe “The Atomic Fireballs” and has been nominated for a Canadian Comedy Award as well featured in NOW magazine’s annual “Best Of” edition several times including as an “Artist to Watch”.
Writing credits include Allana’s original series pilot, Not This, But This (S&S Productions/CBC), This Hour Has 22 Minutes (CBC), The Ron James Show (CBC) and the Emmy Award winning series Odd Squad and Dino Dan (Sinking Ship). Her hit play “Real Estate” has had over two dozen productions including premieres in the U.S. and New Zealand. Allana currently has an original one hour pilot First World Problems in development with eOne and Bell Media.
She is a producer on the new TBS series Full Frontal with Samantha Bee and spends her free time perfecting risotto and teaching her daughters the lyrics to Aretha Franklin’s “Ain’t No Mountain High Enough”.
