As the Senior Director of Kids' CBC, Martin oversees development and production of children's content for Canada's public broadcaster. Kids' CBC is dedicated to creating fun and inspiring programming that will uplift and enrich Canadian children. Martin is excited to lead Kids' CBC in providing the best children's content possible, on all platforms.
As an independent producer, Martin has produced animation for Comedy Central, and produced the original children’s series JiggiJump, which is currently broadcast on Kids’ CBC.
Martin has previously served as Executive in Charge of Production for the Children’s and Youth Department at CBC Television. He managed a diverse slate of projects that included animation, action series, puppet shows and scripted comedy. Martin supervised the CBC show Dragon Booster, which won the Gemini Award for Best Animated Series.
Martin created and produced 240 episodes of The X, a comedic pop culture show for tweens. He was also Executive Producer of the youth comedy series The Morgan Waters Show, which won the Gemini Award for Best Children’s or Youth Program or Series.
Martin has held the position of Creative Producer of the TVO Kids block, and written scripts for the kids animated comedy Yam Roll and pre-school series Polka Dot Shorts.
With over twenty years experience in the television industry, Martin continues to be passionate about children’s and youth programming.
