Andrew Kavanagh is a filmmaker and content creator with 20 years industry experience behind him. He is Founder and CEO of Kavaleer Productions and has been involved in developing and producing shows since 2001. The studio have previously co-produced Boj, Abadas and Lifeboat Luke and have successfully financed and produced two home-grown properties, Garth & Bev (26 x 11) and Wildernuts (52 x 7). Kavanagh is currently directing Kiva Can Do! (52 x11), a preschool show which launched at Cartoon Forum in 2014.
Kavaleer are also developing a slate of spin-out kids properties with a view to changing the world, one show at a time. Through tackling kid demographics that have been under-represented in linear media and creating aspirational new heroes for the next generation, the studio is tasked with the mission of changing perceptions and breaking down barriers through the medium they know and love. The first of these, 'Dougie Noir' launched at Cartoon Forum 2015 and Kavaleer plan phased launches of three new properties in 2016-17.
