Dave Schlafman is a four-time Emmy-nominated animation and interactive producer and director with 10+ years experience building creative teams and producing content and products for children. Dave spent the early part of his career working in animation, illustration, and brand development for companies such as Penguin, Hasbro Toys and Scholastic, and in 2009 Dave co-founded children's transmedia studio, CloudKid. There, he ran the day-to-day business, oversaw the art and design team, and provided direction and strategy for client and internal projects. Recently, Dave and the CloudKid team joined social robotics company, Jibo where he leads an internal creative studio dedicated to producing innovative and engaging story experiences on the robot. In addition, Dave is the Co-Creator and Executive Producer of F izzy’s Lunch Lab (PBS Kids), and has develop original properties and brands (web series, pilots, games) for top children’s media companies, including Nickelodeon, Houghton Mifflin and Cartoon Network.
