Chris M. Williams serves as Chief Audience Officer of Maker Studios, now a wholly-owned subsidiary of The Walt Disney Company. As the Chief Audience Officer, Mr. Williams is the steward of the world’s largest network of short form video creators around the globe. Since joining Maker in early 2012, he has overseen the growth of Maker's creator network to over 55,000 video creators globally generating over 11 Billion monthly video views on a variety of digital platforms.
Prior to his current role, Mr. Williams served at The Walt Disney Company in a variety of capacities initially coming to Disney when Take180, the venture-backed startup he founded in 2006, was acquired by Disney in 2008. Mr. Williams eventually formed Disney Online Originals, a new division dedicated to the creation of Disney branded short form content.
Mr. Williams has been at the intersection of entertainment and technology for 20 years. In 1996, he joined Yahoo as one of their first sales and business development executives. After Yahoo, he formed an entertainment production company, and produced numerous feature films.
He is a graduate of Boston University and holds a B.S. in Broadcast and Film
