Frank Saperstein oversees all aspects of Surprise Bag’s expanding digital media business in the areas of IP development, co-­‐production financing partnerships, live action and animation client services and consulting. He previously served as EVP of Tricon’s Kids, Family and Animation business launching the division by leveraging the company’s non-­‐scripted infrastructure, executive producing the award-­‐winning, BAFTA nominated animated comedy Counterfeit Cat airing on Disney XD Hulu and Teletoon.

Frank’s experience as an Annecy Award Winning and Primetime Emmy nominated Executive Producer, Writer, Director and Senior Executive spans three decades. Prior to launching Surprise Bag, Frank served as SVP of Family Television for Entertainment One, SVP of Kids and Animation for Blueprint Entertainment, Co-­‐ CEO/Creative Director of PASI (Philippine Animation Studio, Inc.) and Development Executive with VH1/MTV Networks. Frank’s credits include gender-­‐ bending classics Pee-­‐wee’s Playhouse, (CBS), Bob & Margaret (Comedy Central) and Ren & Stimpy, (Nickelodeon), as well as a stint as Producer/Director with Prince’s Paisley Park Studios. He holds an MFA from New York University where he won a Ten Best Student Oscar.
