Emily Shapiro is Director of Children’s Programming at Panoply Media, which produces extraordinary podcasts, provides breakthrough technology for advertisers and publishers through Megaphone, and delivers premium children's content through the Pinna app. Emily Co-Founded and sits on the Board of Directors of the New York International Children’s Film Festival (NYICFF), an Academy qualifying festival and the largest for children and teens in North America. For 15 years prior to joining Panoply, Emily was responsible for festival programming and operations as NYICFF's Managing Director.  Emily is also part owner of GKIDS, Inc., an animation distribution company which has garnered 9 Academy Award nominations in the past 8 years. Emily has directed multiple English-language dubs for Academy qualifying short films and assisted with all aspects of English-language dubs on numerous award-winning features, including Ernest and Celestine, A Cat in Paris, Zarafa, and Mia and the Migoo. Fun fact: as a child, Emily performed on television on Saturday Night Live, The Chevy Chase Special, and Cos as well as in local theater.
