As an Acquisitions Executive and Commissioner with over 20 years of experience at NRK, Kare Snipsøyr always seeks fresh new content for the Norwegian pubcaster. Or more correctly, for their successful streaming service’s young audience, aged 0 to 15.
Kare has his background from production, in the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation’s in-house content division. He’s been involved in numerous TV projects, including sitcoms, fiction, dramas, and factual content. He’s also produced Norway’s most popular and award-winning morning radio show for the 18 to 30 audience, as well as NRK’s own SKAM podcast.
Kare joined NRK Super’s Acquisitions team in 2018. NRK’s designated children’s platform NRK Super has been awarded several prestigious awards, including multiple Emmy Awards, for its productions. Viewers appreciate a wide variety of external acquisitions, in addition to in-house and co-productions of various formats and genres. In addition to their main platform, the FVOD service, NRK Super also offers linear TV, podcasts, social media content, and even live events at schools and summer camps. NRK Super’s groundbreaking (and award-winning) focus on diversity, both on and off-screen, is a key factor to their success.
