Christopher Keenan is a highly accomplished creative executive, executive producer, and writer who has enjoyed over thirty-five years of success in the animation, kids, and family entertainment industries. He has spearheaded dozens of productions that have won Emmy, NAACP, Peabody, Parents Choice and BAFTA Awards. With thousands of hours of production to his credit, he is known for development, production, and sales.
Most recently engaged by Mattel Television for nearly a decade as Senior Vice President, Creative and Executive Producer, Christopher oversaw all creative aspects for Barbie, Thomas & Friends, Monster High, Hot Wheels, Polly Pocket, Barney, Fireman Sam, Masters of the Universe, Deepa & Anoop and many other HIT/Mattel properties, as well as a robust slate of original properties in development.
Before accepting his previous role at HIT/Mattel, Christopher helmed Creating4Kids, Inc. for just under ten years during which time he developed and executive produced several original projects for the global market.
Earlier in his career, Christopher served as Senior Vice President of Creative Affairs for Warner Bros. Animation for the better part of two decades. There, he led the development and production of television series and DVD features for original and franchise properties such as Scooby-Doo, Johnny Test, Pinky and the Brain, Animaniacs, Batman Beyond, Looney Tunes, Xiaolin Showdown, Mucha Lucha, Tom and Jerry, Static Shock and many others. In addition to his studio responsibilities, Christopher was instrumental in the original launch of Kids’ WB, the children’s programming service of The WB Network, holding the title of Head of Programming for its first three years.
Christopher has also held positions at New World Entertainment, ABC Television, and Stephen Spielberg’s Amblin Entertainment, where he served as Feature Animation Story Editor.
Christopher lives in Palm Springs, California.
