Reenita is the "Nora Ephron" of YA South Asian storytelling with comedy and fantastical elements. Her stories feature quirky characters navigating the rollercoaster of imperfect scenarios but refuse to sell out. As writer and script supervisor for platforms like National Geographic Kids, Cartoon Network Asia, New York Times, and CNN, Reenita has garnered numerous awards, including the Eric Hoffer Book Award, the IndieReader Discovery Award, Santa Barbara International Screenplay Award, Script2Comic, Launchpad, and Emerging Screenwriters awards.
She has two podcasts: the True Fiction Project (exploring the journey of stories from unscripted to scripted) and Shadow Realm (YA, fantasy narrative fiction). Reenita has inked a production development agreement for her YA romantic comedy screenplay Operation Mom (second-rounder of the Sundance Institute Development Slate) and has optioned her literary memoir Ace of Blades.
