Teri Weiss is Executive Vice President of Television Development for DreamWorks Animation, overseeing the creative development of a rapidly growing slate of original television projects, including content for Netflix, Apple TV+, Peacock, Amazon, Hulu, and other leading broadcasters around the world. As part of the studio’s global initiatives, Teri and her creative team are tasked with developing original animated programming inspired by characters from DreamWorks’ iconic franchises and upcoming features, Universal Pictures films, and projects based on original and acquired IP. Upcoming titles include Jurassic World: Chaos Theory, a Megamind TV series, Mighty MonsterWheelies, and Be@rbrick, inspired by the iconic collectible figures. Recent series include the popular preschool series Gabby’s Dollhouse, Not Quite Narwhal, and Dew Drop Diaries, as well as the studio’s first animated horror series for older kids Fright Krewe from horror master Eli Roth and Curses! for Apply TV+. Among other series in DWA’s growing slate, Teri was also integral in bringing The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib, Kung Fu Panda: The Dragon Knight, Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, Pinecone & Pony, Abominable and the Invisible City, The Croods: Family Tree, and Dragons: The Nine Realms to global audiences.
Prior to joining DreamWorks, Teri was the SVP of Kids Content Development for Universal Kids Productions group at NBCUniversal after a 16-year stint at Nickelodeon where she served as EVP of Preschool Original Programming, launching a series of hits including Shimmer and Shine, Blaze and the Monster Machines, Dora and Friends, PAW Patrol and Wallykazam!
