Ali Widdoes is a Senior Director of Franchise Strategy at NBCUniversal based in Los Angeles. She currently leads global preschool franchise strategy for Universal Products & Experiences, including Dreamworks Animation’s breakout hit Gabby’s Dollhouse.
Prior to joining NBCUniversal in 2022, Ali was Director of Franchise Strategy for Disney Parks, Experiences and Products, focused on Disney Princess and Frozen brands where she led the global launch of Frozen Fan Fest as well as the Ultimate Princess campaign. With a strong background in brand management and licensing, Ali holds over 15 years of experience with Disney. Her extensive franchise management experience spans Walt Disney Animation titles, Pixar brands, Disney Channel portfolio, and Disney Villains.
Prior to her roles in franchise management, Ali managed licensed toys for the Disney Junior preschool portfolio, and hardlines categories for classic brands spanning the world of Disney, as well as infant toys. She holds brand management and marketing experience from Lionsgate, where she oversaw preschool home entertainment releases, including the best-selling LeapFrog Learning series and more.
Born in Wilmington, Delaware, she graduated from the University of Delaware with a bachelor’s degree in French language and literature and holds an MBA from Pepperdine University.
