It's no surprise that she discovered her passion for journalism at 17. After graduating from Toronto Metropolitan University's School of Journalism, she worked as a host and reporter for blogTO, building the brand’s TikTok account from the ground up.
Whether conducting celebrity interviews or pitching and creating digital content for brands like Disney and Amazon – Mercedes never shies away from a new challenge. In 2023, she hosted the Youth Media Alliance Awards, uncovering a passion for live-hosting.
