Executive Director, Content Acquisitions & Partnerships

Disney Branded Television

Rick Clodfelter, Executive Director of Content Acquisitions and Partnerships at Disney Branded Television, has a distinct focus on acquiring series, movies, and short-form content — scripted and unscripted, live-action and animation — developed and produced by third-party providers for Disney+, Disney Channel, Disney XD, and Disney Junior, with a primary focus on imaginative, aspirational stories geared towards kids, tweens, teens, and families.

Among his team's landmark acquisition deals for Disney Junior and Disney+ audiences, are: an original CG-animated series, Morphle, with Moonbug Entertainment, based on the hit short-form My Magic Pet Morphle, and Bluey, a program
created by Joe Brumm with Queensland, Australia's Ludo Studio, a co-commission by the Australian Broadcasting Corporation and the British Broadcasting Corporation. Bluey, the hit animated series for preschoolers made its premiere on Disney Junior in the United States and was released internationally on Disney+.

Before joining Disney, Clodfelter founded Garden Place Media, a consulting firm specializing in identifying, acquiring, and executing strategies for kids and family content to drive revenue across media platforms.

His career includes executive roles in content strategy and acquisitions for Universal Kids and content acquisitions and co-productions for Cartoon Network and Boomerang.
