Jessi Cruickshank

Comedian & Television Personality

Renowned for her humor, quick wit, and authenticity, Jessi has hosted some of television’s most popular programs, including MTV Canada’s The Hills After Show, CBC’s The Goods, and Canada’s Smartest Person. A seasoned presenter, Jessi is an in-demand host, emcee, moderator, and on-stage interviewer for corporate conferences, glamorous galas, fireside chats and more.

Called "the funniest woman on TV today, period" by The Province, Jessi broke into comedy as the only girl in an all-male improv troupe alongside Seth Rogen. She soon became a household name as the face of MTV, hosting MTV Live and the smash hit, The Hills After Show, which secured her two Gemini Awards, was syndicated in 10 countries and generated record-breaking ratings in Canada and the US. She went on to host, produce and write her own spin-off pop culture series, The After Show, and was an etalk correspondent for six seasons.

Today, Jessi is the founder of the digital platform, New Mom, Who Dis? This go-to destination for candid, honest, and always funny takes on motherhood has grown into a national brand with a dedicated, global community. She is also the host of the weekly podcast series, Phone a Friend, which debuted as the #1 comedy show across all podcasts. In 2022, Jessi hit the road with her first live, cross-Canada tour, Up Close and Too Personal, which visited 12 Canadian cities.

Whether in-person or virtually, Jessi knows how to work a room. She deftly handles introductions, interviews and between-segment banter to keep the event running on time and the audience’s attention glued to the stage, tailoring her content for each event she hosts. Past clients have included Canada Goose, Royal Bank of Canada, the Canadian Arts and Fashion Awards, CBC, and many more.

Jessi has worked extensively with Plan Canada and Global Citizen. She has traveled to Kenya, India, and Ecuador, advocating for gender equality, education for all, and removing barriers that keep girls from reaching their full potential.
