J. Chris is a 25-year veteran of kids and family animation and co-founded Shining Isle Productions in 2016, an independent animation studio. He is the Executive Producer and Showrunner of The Wingfeather Saga animated series, which ranks as the largest animated, crowdfunded kids and family project in history, raising over US$7 million for the first two seasons. He spent over a decade producing the VeggieTales direct-to-video series with Big Idea and Dreamworks Animation. That includes the popular Wonderful Wizard of Ha’s, Saint Nicholas and Noah’s Ark. He is also the creator of the puppet/mixed-media The Slugs & Bugs Show with two seasons in distribution. Chris is passionate about developing projects with stories of truth and beauty.
When not working to bring thoughtful and meaningful art into the world, you can find Chris outside with his wife and kids, deriving creativity and inspiration from the outdoors around Nashville, TN.
