Natascha, PhD, is a psychologist, educator, researcher, guest lecturer, and Daytime Emmy Award judge who works towards enhancing children’s growth and development through the power of media. She is the founder and president of Crandall Consulting.
Natascha earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Developmental Psychology from The Pennsylvania State University and continued her studies in Rehabilitation Counseling at The University of Maryland. After obtaining her Master's degree, Natascha worked as an Addictions Therapist for young mothers in economically depressed areas near Washington, DC. She then chose to further her education and received her Doctorate in School Psychology at Teachers College, Columbia University, and earned a Dissertation of Distinction award for her research and writing skills.
Natascha has extensive experience in curriculum development, script review, and formative research for leading shows, including Gabby’s Dollhouse, The Octonauts, Donkey Hodie, Alma’s Way, Bing, Bubble Guppies, Peter Rabbit, Bob the Builder, and many Sesame Workshop international co-productions. She also holds a Diversity and Inclusion certificate from Cornell University and has done Diversity Consulting for a number of companies. Natascha is also the Board President for The Prompt Institute, a past reviewer for the US government’s AISL grant, and a past member of the Board of Education of Woodcliff Lake, NJ. She also serves as a Girl Scout Troop Leader and a girls’ lacrosse coach in her community.
