Sophie is an award-winning TV Host, STEM educator, filmmaker, actor, and entrepreneur with degrees in Behavioral Neuroscience and Theatre. Her Telly Award-winning science comedy series Science With Sophie, aimed at increasing representation of women and girls in STEM, reaches two million families worldwide.
Sophie is the Founder of the Science with Sophie educational media enterprise, host of streaming series Theory of Awesome, and can be found on social channels like the Museum of Science and Indeed. Sophie has performed improv, musical theatre, and Shakespeare across the country, including the American Repertory Theater and The Second City. As a public STEM educator, Sophie has taught over 25,000 students and hundreds of thousands of families at world-renowned museums. Sophie’s work has been featured by Nat Geo Kids, NPR, Scholastic, TIME for Kids, A Plus, Inverse, EdSurge, The Telly Awards, The International Academy of Web Television, Goldie Blox, and Girls Who Code.
Sophie is the Founder and Executive Producer of Cool Jacket Productions, a production company that finds joyful solutions to serious problems. Sophie’s current projects include a detective-style cybersecurity training series (ask her for a demo!) and a climate solutions-focused documentary series, in which she drove an electric car from Los Angeles to Boston and back on a 7000-mile road trip across the USA to test sustainable travel, connect with people across the country, and find hope amidst the climate crisis.
