Kim is an education and media research leader dedicated to advancing early learning, family engagement, and global equity through evidence-based storytelling. As Vice President of Research and Insights at Sesame Workshop, she drives the organization’s global research strategy—integrating data, audience insights, impact measurement, and innovation to shape content that supports children and families across diverse contexts. Embedding research activities throughout the lifecycle of Sesame Workshop’s programming and working with research institutions to evaluate efficacy, Kim uses learning science to translate data and provide guidance to maximize the impact of Sesame’s global programming. With over 15 years of experience across academia, humanitarian organizations, and international development, she has led research and evaluation initiatives in more than 30 countries, partnering with ministries, NGOs, and media producers to improve early childhood outcomes.
