JAM Media

John is the BAFTA-winning CEO and Co-founder of JAM Media, one of Ireland and the UK’s leading creators and producers of children’s content. Since establishing the studio in 2002, he has overseen the development and executive production of more than 200 hours of original programming and driven the global distribution of JAM’s brands into more than 100 territories worldwide. Before founding JAM, John worked with several major international studios, including 20th Century Fox Animation and MTV in the United States.

John is currently Executive Producer on BeddyByes, for CBeebies and RTÉ. His recent work includes executive producing JAM’s first animated feature A Greyhound of a Girl, as well as three seasons of the live-action sci-fi comedy Nova Jones. He has collaborated with global partners, including Nickelodeon on Becca’s Bunch and Prime Video on Jessy and Nessy, and with multiple European broadcasters and studios, consistently delivering distinctive and ambitious story-driven content.

Under his leadership, JAM Media is expanding its remit with a comprehensive animation services division that draws on two decades of production expertise to support the evolving needs of the international animation market and to collaborate across a broader range of creative and commercial projects.

John holds a Master's in Multimedia from Trinity College Dublin. He has served on the board of Screen Ireland, is a current board member of Cartoon Media, and is the Co-founder and Chair of the Animation Dingle festival.
