Karen is a multi–Emmy Award–winning Development Executive, EP, and Showrunner. She joined 9 Story (Toronto) in 2019 as VP of Development, guiding four preschool series from development into production, serving as EP on Let’s Go, Bananas!, Rosie’s Rules, Dylan’s Playtime Adventures, and an as-yet-unannounced series. Her current slate, focused on comedies for ages two to 12, blends Scholastic properties with standout originals and is developed in collaboration with top-tier writing and artistic talent across Canada, the US, the UK, and Australia.
Karen spent 20-plus years in NYC, including 15 at Sesame Workshop, and held executive roles at Nickelodeon, CBC Kids, and Spin Master. She developed and EP’d the multi-million-dollar reinvention of The Electric Company, leading animation and live-action teams and applying her keen eye for talent to rising stars like William Harper and Reggie Watts. Her work is driven by a love of character-driven comedy.
Karen has dual citizenship of Canada and the US.
