Doug is a film and television producer who specializes in international finance and distribution.
Current productions include Iyanu, the #1 new show on Cartoon Network, and the #1 kids show in Africa on Showmax as well as the live-action series from Hannah Montana creator Michael Poryes, Home Sweet Rome! for the BBC, RAI, HBO and ARD, and award-winning series Group on PBS and Allarts.
He has produced over 300 episodes of franchise television of including Lassie, and Casper the Friendly Ghost, Mr. Magoo and George of the Jungle for DreamWorks television, raising over $150 million in investment.
He has overseen international television distribution for series such as The Sopranos, The Simpsons and the James Bond movies in senior management roles at HBO, 20th Century Fox and MGM. While serving as Senior Vice President of Co-Production at DreamWorks Television, he structured and negotiated $300 million in production finance deals with Paramount+, Apple, Netflix, BBC and Cartoon Network.
As founder of Splendid Television, his productions of Victoria & Albert starring Diana Rigg, Peter Ustinov, David Suchet and Jonathan Pryce and James Dean starring James Franco, were nominated for 14 Emmy Awards, with James winning the Golden Globe for Best Actor in a TV movie. He also served as the distribution company for Miramax Television’s Ben Affleck and Matt Damon-produced Project Greenlight.
His feature film credits include Lassie starring Peter O'Toole, Samantha Morton, Peter Dinklage and Kelly MacDonald, Postman Pat starring Stephen Mangan, David Tennant, Rupert Grint and Jim Broadbent and the CNN and Amazon documentary Halston from Frédéric Tcheng, which premiered at the Sundance and Tribeca Film festivals.
Doug is an honors graduate of Princeton University.
