Cartoon Network and Boomerang
Rick Clodfelter is director, content acquisitions and co-productions for Cartoon Network and Boomerang. In this capacity, Clodfelter is responsible for acquiring pre-produced series, specials, short-form product and series co-productions that fit the Cartoon Network and Boomerang brands for exposure on all platforms. He represents the U.S. networks at all major programming markets including MIPTV, MIPCOM, Kidscreen and NATPE. He is based in New York City and reports directly to Adina Pitt, vice president, content acquisitions and co-productions for Cartoon Network and Boomerang.
Previously, Clodfelter was manager of programming and scheduling for the Discovery Kids Channel. In this position, he developed program scheduling strategies that supported current and long-term programming plans for the Discovery Kids Channel, Ready Set Learn on TLC and Discovery Kids on NBC.
Clodfelter earned a bachelor’s of science degree in elementary education and a bachelor’s of arts degree in music from Culver-Stockton College and a master’s of arts in teaching from Webster University. He is currently on the board of directors of Marriage Equality USA and Big Apple Performing Arts, which includes the New York City Gay Men’s Chorus and Youth Pride Chorus.
