As Vice President, Programming and Original Production, Corus Kids, Jocelyn Hamilton is responsible for Corus Entertainment’s Kids & Family programming, acquisitions and original production.
Previously, Jocelyn was Vice President, Original Programming, Kids, Comedy and Drama responsible for overseeing scripted original programming for Corus’ specialty and pay networks. For YTV, Jocelyn and her team were responsible for launching hit series such as Mr. Young, Life With Boys, The Next Star, Splatalot, Extreme Babysitting and Cache Craze to name a few. During her tenure, top 10 preschool series such as Max & Ruby, Backyardigans, Cat in the Hat and Mike the Knight continued to contribute to Treehouse’s success as the #1 preschool network in Canada.
As head of original programming for Corus Entertainment’s premium network Movie Central, which includes HBO Canada, original series such as Less Than Kind, Call Me Fitz and Transporter received critical acclaim and ratings success.
In her role, Jocelyn has worked with The National Screen Institute (NSI) to launch Script to Screen, a development program for screenwriters funded by Movie Central as well as the Family Feature Production Fund, a joint initiative with Telefilm Canada.
Jocelyn has contributed to shows that have won numerous awards including Gemini Awards, Emmy Awards and Annecy International Animation Festival awards, among others..
A longtime supporter of the Canadian production industry, Jocelyn sits on the board of the Youth Media Alliance, as well as the advisory board of Ryerson University Radio and Television Arts School and the Academy of Canadian Cinema & Television (ACCT) Canada. In 2012, Jocelyn was inducted into the Ryerson School of Media Wall of Fame.
