Lisa O’Brien has considerable experience as a writer/producer and children’s television executive. She has overseen all day parts for YTV Canada, been a Creative Director at Fox Family Channel and Disney Channel, and currently serves as VP of Original Programming for Sprout.
While at Sprout she's helped oversee the original series Noodle and Doodle,The Chica Show and the Jim Henson co-production Pajanimals. Currently Sprout has several shows in production and various stages of development. Her past development credits include an award-winning science series Wonder Why?,a news series Scoop, a self esteem/bodyimage media literacy special Take Another Look, a magazine style show The Anti-Gravity Room for the Sci-Fi Channel, and Mega Movie Magic for Discovery Channel. Lisa has also a written critically acclaimed book that explains the process of acting and production to seven- to 12-year-olds and has worked at highly regarded production companies including The Jim Henson Company. At Sprout, Lisa worked closely with SVP of Programming Andrew Beecham to help launch the channel and its various blocks seven years ago, and she co-created and wrote the pilot season of the highly successful Good Night Show.
