Carole Bonneau

TELETOON

Carole Bonneau is VP of Programming for TELETOON Canada, where she oversees program schedules, acquisitions and original production for five nationwide television networks: TELETOON, TÉLÉTOON, TELETOON Retro, TÉLÉTOON Rétro and CARTOON NETWORK Canada.

Carole joined TELETOON in November 1996 as Director of Programming, and became VP of Programming five years later. During her tenure, she has been instrumental in fostering Canadian talent. Each year, under her leadership, 47% of TELETOON’s annual revenue is allocated to the acquisition or development of animated series by Canadian producers, and these have included 6Teen, Johnny Test and the Total Drama franchise.

Carole has worked in the television industry since 1981. She came to TELETOON from TFO, TVOntario’s French-language educational network. As Director of Network and Promotion there, she had already achieved significant success both at home and abroad. Prior to TFO, Carole was a journalist with Radio-Canada, Canada’s national public broadcaster.

Carole is fluent in English and French, and she holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Journalism from l’Université Laval in Quebec. She also studied at the Centre de Formation Journalistique in Paris, France.

Carole is married with two children, and currently resides in Toronto.
