Jon Rutherford oversees the operation of Tricon’s international distribution company, including all worldwide sales and acquisitions. In addition to growing its catalogue to over 2,000 hours of high quality content in genres such as scripted drama & comedy, factual & lifestyle, documentary, and kids & family, he leads strategic development for building ancillary brand revenues across multiple platforms. Over his 17-year career, Jon has built international alliances with a majority of the world’s leading broadcast and cable networks. Jon also oversees Tricon’s business development, which includes growing the company’s kids & family division, establishing new broadcast partnerships in factual production, and expanding into broadcast channel distribution. This includes Tricon’s exclusive output agreement with AMC Networks to distribute and represent all of IFC’s original scripted series and the agreement to distribute Pivot’s original half-hour factual and scripted comedy programming. Prior to joining Tricon, he was head of distribution at Portfolio Entertainment.
