For almost 30 years Sheila has been very happily immersed in working with ideas for broadcast on various platforms. As Producer of both TV and Radio content, aswell as TV Location and Multi-Camera Director, she spent many great years making live and pre-recorded programming across all genre including Factual, Entertainment, Music, Documentary, Drama and Current Affairs. As Executive Producer, amongst other projects, she created a year-long on and off screen celebration of ‘40 Years of RTÉ Television’ aswell as a continuing drama series for teens.
Currently Controller, RTÉjr, and Head of Childrens, RTÉ, Sheila takes responsibility for RTÉ’s content for youngsters aged under 18 across 4 platforms – TV, Radio, Online and Mobile – aswell as for RTÉ’s third channel, RTÉjr, launched in April 2013.
