The benchmarks for successful return on investment in kids entertainment today are exposure in 100+ territories and product on shelf at every retailer from Sydney to Reykjavik. But broadcasters still want shows that relates to the unique experiences of kids in their respective countries. So what are the ingredients required to whip up a series that is both a local hit and a global success? And what is a producer to do with a show that is a huge hit in one country, but has trouble gaining traction elsewhere?
