Frank Saperstein oversees all aspects of development, production, programming, digital and licensing opportunities in Tricon’s Kids & Family business, leveraging the company's extensive development, production and distribution expertise, while expanding the division’s strategic partnerships with creators, co-producers, broadcasters and ancillary revenue opportunities.
Frank’s experience as an Annecy Award Winning and Primetime Emmy Nominated Executive Producer, Writer, Director and Senior Executive spans hundreds of episodes of live action, animation and hybrid productions for television, pilots, feature films, short form and digital content. Prior to joining Tricon, he was CEO/Executive Producer at Surprise Bag, Inc., where he oversaw all aspects of launching and growing the boutique development, production and distribution company. Prior to that, he was SVP of Family Television for Entertainment One, SVP of Kids and Animation for Blueprint Entertainment, Co-CEO/Creative Director of PASI (Philippine Animation Studio, Inc.) and a Development Executive with VH1/MTV Networks. Frank’s credits include genderbending classics Pee-wee’s Playhouse, (CBS) and Ren & Stimpy, (Nickelodeon), as well as a stint as Producer/Director with Prince’s Paisley Park Studios.
Frank has developed, produced and partnered with the top creative talent in the industry for CBS, NBC-Universal, Fox, Showtime, Nickelodeon, Disney, Cartoon Network, HUB, VH1, MTV, Comedy Central, Televisa, Teletoon, Family Channel, Corus, CBC, BBC, Stan Lee’s POW, Prince and KISS.
Frank holds an MFA from New York University where he won a Ten Best Student Oscar.
