Since Hitoshi entered NHK in 1990, he has been a program director and producer. He was involved in a wide variety programs mainly for young adults and children such as PythagoraSwitch which won a Prix Jeunesse award in the up-to-6, non-fiction category, and Found One, which won a Japan Prize award in the preschool category.
He has been a nominated for several international prizes such as Prix Jeunesse, Japan Prize and Asia-Pacific Child Rights Award. He is currently in charge of global content development for children’s programs and a family-viewing documentary series acquired from overseas.
