Through creative crowdsourcing platform Tongal, Mattel has tapped into a community of 100,000 writers, directors and animators, creating digital content and giving a voice to each of its brands that is perfectly crafted for YouTube. Successes include an exclusive series of Hot Wheels videos that has attracted more than 7,000,000 organic views, and a documentary about Thomas & Friends, “70 Years of Friendship”, that has been viewed more than 800,000 times.
