Sid Mathur is Senior Vice President and Global Head of Strategic Development and Mergers & Acquisitions for Mattel, Inc. He leads the team responsible for executing all strategic transactions and partnerships for Mattel. With his extensive experience in business model development, brand development, strategy, finance and global markets, Sid oversees the development of high-value partnerships, business models, new capabilities and joint ventures for Mattel to align with brand and corporate strategies. Sid’s group oversees Technology Platforms & Partnerships; Strategic In-Licensing and IP Partnerships and Corporate Development and the successful integration of corporate wide initiatives into the brand and commercial organization. 

Prior to his current role, Sid headed Innovation Acceleration, Strategic Partnerships and Brand Activation, including entertainment and consumer experiences, for Mattel to drive growth in global markets and develop innovative and differentiated products for the company. Before this, Sid was involved in the acquisition of HIT Entertainment for Mattel Inc., a $680M acquisition of premier IP brands including Thomas & Friends, Bob the Builder®, and Barney® and subsequently, as Head of HIT Americas, led and managed the HIT Entertainment division for Mattel in North and Latin America, overseeing business verticals including broadcast, home entertainment, live events & attractions, consumer products, and strategic brand development. He also led the launch and scaling of the HIT portfolio of brands in Latin America and other international markets.

Before his tenure at Mattel, Sid was Senior Vice President at Cambridge Solutions Limited, a Listed Technology and Business Process outsourcing company in Asia. Sid managed the interests of the majority shareholders and also led corporate strategy, M&A, fund raising, and the eventual sale of Cambridge to FTSE 100 firm. 

In the early part of his career, Sid worked with Arthur Andersen and Price Waterhouse Coopers advising clients in the technology, media and automotive space.

Sid earned an MBA from London Business School in the UK.
