Alexander began his career in 1994, creating, writing and designing three successful cartoon strips which ran concurrently in specialist magazines and national newspapers for a number of years in the UK. In 1998, he joined Pepper’s Ghost Productions, a London-based CGI animation indie, where he headed up the company’s development slate for three years, working across a range of shows including Tiny Planets – a preschool series for CiTV. In 2001, Alexander went back to working independently, creating and developing multiple cross platform ideas including: Lunar Jim (92X11”, a stop frame series produced by Alliance Atlantis and Halifax Films); Emmy-award winning Mike the Knight (134x11”, a pre-school CGI series with HiT Entertainment and Nelvana); Ranger Rob (80x11”, a pre-school CGI series currently in pre-production with Nelvana) and Bobby and the Bike Buddies (52x11” a pre-school CGI series currently in pre-production with eOne Family). Other shows currently in development are with: Zodiak Kids, Spin Master and Rainmaker. Alexander recently signed a book deal with Walker Books for his first picture books, to be published in early 2016. He also has a degree in English and French Law and prior to his career in animation, worked in musical theatre in London’s West End.
