Hatty is a seasoned corporate and entertainment lawyer, and the founder of the Toronto boutique law firm of Reisman Law Offices.  She focuses primarily on the film and television production and financing industries.  Her particular passion is for international financings and co-productions.  Prior to establishing her firm, Hatty served as General Counsel for two public companies in the entertainment space: Atlantis Communications Ltd. (of the CSI franchise fame), and the animation house Nelvana Limited (of Babar and Franklin fame).  In the early 1990s, she was a founding member of the Toronto Office of the Bay Street law firm Heenan Blaikie.

Hatty obtained her L.L.B and JD degrees from Osgoode Hall Law School, and prior to that studied politics and economics at University College, University of Toronto.  She has received the ICD.D Designation from the Institute of Corporate Directors, in association with the Rotman School of Management, University of Toronto.

Hatty sits on the Boards of Directors of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre, the National Gallery of Canada Foundation, Canadian Women in Communications & Technology, and Kids Help Phone.  While with Atlantis and Nelvana, she served on Boards of Directors of the specialty broadcasters YTV, HGTV Canada, The Food Network, The Documentary Channel and Life Network.
