As Vice President, General Merchandising Manager, Toys“R”Us, U.S., Jamie Uitdenhowen oversees all merchandising decisions for the company’s Learning and Seasonal divisions. In this capacity, he is responsible for key product categories such as construction, preschool, infant, games, crafts and activities, bikes and ride-on vehicles, outdoor products and sports and party supplies, among others.
Mr. Uitdenhowen joined Toys“R”Us, Inc. in 1999 as a Merchandise Analyst and has since held a variety of positions of increasing seniority, including Senior Analyst; Associate Buyer; Director, Merchandising, Toysrus.com; and Buyer, Construction, Creative and Preschool Activities. In 2011, he was promoted to Divisional Merchandising Manager for the Learning department and was subsequently named Vice President in 2012. He was promoted to his current position in May 2013.
Mr. Uitdenhowen received a bachelor’s degree in business administration from Temple University in Pennsylvania and a master’s of business administration from Seton Hall University in New Jersey.
He and his wife Gretchen currently reside in Sparta, NJ with their two daughters.
