Shaw Rocket Fund

Since 2004, Agnes Augustin has overseen the Shaw Rocket Fund with its ongoing commitment to be a champion of Canadian children’s and youth programming through the Fund’s investments in television and digital content and with the launch of the much celebrated Shaw Rocket Prize. Her dedication to increase the profile of the Canadian children’s and youth programming sector, both domestically and internationally, can be seen through various Fund initiatives. In her role at the Shaw Rocket Fund, she is proud to support the independent Canadian production community in the creation of high quality programming for children and their families to enjoy on all platforms, around the world.
Prior to assuming her position at the Shaw Rocket Fund, Agnes worked in many sectors of the Canadian film and television industry. She held senior management positions in Business Affairs for a number of production and distribution companies, starting her career as a Financial Analyst with Telefilm Canada. Agnes also held the position of Head of Production for Country Music Television (Corus Entertainment) and was a production accountant and independent producer. As a consultant, Agnes worked with many organizations including Price Waterhouse Coopers and the BC Economic Development Association.
