Loes Wormmeester has been occupied with making radio and television programs for many years. She has always seen children’s television as a field where one is able to transmit a message of importance, something to share with a new generation.
Her programs have won many awards including the International Emmy Award (New York), Prix Jeunesse (Munich), the Golden Dragon (Beijing), the Eureka Awards for best Dutch Science program (Amsterdam), the Golden Cinekid Award (Amsterdam) and the public’s prize De Gouden Stuiver (Netherlands).
She is currently working as Commissioning Editor and Program developer for NTR Public Television in the Netherlands, producing a famous and prizewinning daily program called Het Klokhuis (The Apple Core). She was also responsible for the development of the very successful youth series 13 at war, which was nominated for an International Emmy Award. The series Welkom in de Gouden Eeuw received an honourable mention of the Nipkow TV Award. The series Dokter Corrie won the Seks and Media award. The series Snapje? won the Golden Cinekid Jury Award of best TV Production 2016.
The documentary Ninnoc won several prizes; IDFA Award for best youth documentary, Berlinale Special mention for best short film (Kplus), Mo&Friese Mo Award for best short film for children, Cinema in Sneakers The Main Prize for the best short film for children, Festival International de Cine para Niños Best documentary, Olympia International Film Festival Best Short-Medium length Documentary.

In 2011 Loes Wormmeester received a Lifetime achievement Award: The Golden Cinekid Lion, for her work in Television.
