Samantha Freeman is an Entrepreneurial CEO, Consumer Product Executive and Harvard Business School graduate with over 25 years of experience developing and growing successful children’s brands and businesses, from creative concept through development, licensing, production, retail placement and marketing execution for leading consumer product and entertainment companies.
Sam started her career in the toy industry, where she worked as Product Manager for Mattel Toys (Barbie) and as Director of Marketing for Marvel/Toy Biz (Spider-man and X-Men.) From there, she spent almost a decade at Nickelodeon, as VP of Licensing for Nick Consumer Products, where she managed a portfolio of hit properties (Blue's Clues, Rugrats, Dora, Spongebob), before co-founding and serving as CEO of Out of the Blue Enterprises (Daniel Tiger / PBS, Wishenpoof / Amazon, Colorforms / Netflix), which she sold to 9 Story Media.
Currently, Sam is an Operating Partner at TRAUB, a consumer-focused advisory firm, where she focuses on helping media clients and consumer brands develop their businesses, from content to commerce. Her broad-based expertise includes business strategy, financial planning, licensing and merchandising, product development, media production, mobile apps, retail marketing, partnerships and promotion.
