Cort Lane is Marvel’s Senior Vice President, Animation & Family Entertainment. As a life-long Marvel fan, Lane is thrilled to develop and produce shows within the rich Marvel Universe. Drawing on a wealth of experience in entertainment, interactive media and marketing for children, Lane leads Marvel’s expanding slate of kid and family-targeted productions and co-productions in both animation and live-action. Additionally, he provides story consultation and guidance for programs and products in consumer products, interactive, live events and Disney parks.

Most recently he has developed and executive produced Marvel's Spider-Man, and developed and co-exec produced Marvel's Ultimate Spider-Man, Marvel's Avengers Assemble, Marvel's Hulk and The Agents of S.M.A.S.H. and Marvel's Guardians of the Galaxy animated series and shorts. Partnering with Passion Animation and Disney XD, Lane executive produced two short-form series: Marvel’s Ant-Man and the Emmy-nominated Marvel’s Rocket & Groot. He has also co-executive produced three Marvel/LEGO specials Guardians of the Galaxy: The Thanos Threat, Avengers Reassembled and Maximum Overload. Lane also collaborated with partners on Marvel’s Future Avengers (from Disney Japan & Madhouse), Marvel Disk Wars: The Avengers (from Disney Japan, Bandai & Toei) and the live-action Los Vengadores en Acción (from Disney Channel Spain). In 2014 he received the Cynopsis Kids Animation Innovator award. 

Previously, Lane served as Vice President, Animation Development & Partnerships (and before that as Director of Animation Development) working on co-productions of Iron Man: Armored Adventures and Marvel Anime Iron ManWolverine, X-Men, and Blade, as well as developing and supervising production on The Super Hero Squad Show.

Prior to joining Marvel in 2008, Lane spent seven years at Mattel producing animated, live-action and interactive entertainment across brands like Barbie, Hot Wheels and Fisher-Price. His period at Mattel includes several productions, including supervising Universal Home Entertainment’s Barbie In A Christmas Carol and developing Monster High.
