When founding You and Eye Creative in 2018, Heath started on a journey to create a safe place to be creative and a creative place to do business. The company’s clients have included Warner Bros. Discovery, Disney, Ubisoft, Watchnext, Lighthouse Studios, Cartoon Saloon, Mercury Filmworks, and more. This journey led to Heath becoming the Chief Content Officer at Canada’s Mercury Filmworks. Heath was charged with spearheading the company’s move into original programming.
After three years in Canada, he returned to Paris and his mission with You and Eye Creative. Heath continues to consult as Virtual CCO for the Ottawa-based production company. In this consulting role, Heath is responsible for content strategy, the development of original content, and management of the development teams at Mercury Filmworks. With extensive knowledge of animation production and development, Heath continues to identify and develop original properties, both existing IPs and originals and secure financing to green-light productions. Throughout his 20-year career in animation, Heath has worked with and for clients like AppleTV+, DreamWorks, Disney, France Télévisions, TF1, RAI, Teletoon Canada and Netflix.
Prior to creating You and Eye Creative, he served as Vice President of Creative and Executive Producer at Gaumont Animation, also in Paris. Originally from New Zealand, Heath worked in the UK as an animation director at Passion Pictures working on the Gorillaz music video for "Dirty Harry" and served as co-director for the second season of Cartoon Network’s Robotboy while working with Anphanim.
