Jadiel Dowlin

Actor | Filmmaker

Jadiel's career as a teen actor sparked a passion to creative innovative content that entertains, educates, and empowers viewers. He’s the youngest Writer’s Guild of Canada member, fluent in Spanish, and at only 21 has two live action shows in development: a mystery/sci-fi series for teens with Sinking Ship Entertainment and Nelvana, and an unscripted gameshow for tweens-teens with BGM. He has written for production companies such as Fresh TV, Shaftesbury, Epic Story Media, Sinking Ship Ent, Laughing Dragon Studios, and KalKaden Productions. In 2016, he was nominated for a Daytime Emmy for his role in Annedroids; in 2017, awarded Ryerson University's President's Entrance “full-ride” Scholarship (pursuing a double major in Philosophy and Film Studies with an interest in law school); in 2018 the Hollywood Reporter named him "One of Canada's Rising Stars: Making an Impact on Hollywood,” and in 2019 received the Youth Media Alliance Andra Sheffer Scholarship for up-and-coming TV creators. Now he’s thrilled to be the first youth to enact inclusive change as a member of the Youth Media Alliance’s Board of Directors!
