Carolina Lightcap is the Executive Vice President (EVP) and Chief Content Officer (CCO) for the 14-network portfolio of Discovery Latin America/US Hispanic (DLA/USH). She is also General Manager at Discovery Kids Media and oversees Discovery Family in the US.  

As EVP and CCO for DLA/USH, Lightcap manages all content related areas, which include programming, production, marketing, on-air promotions and digital content. 

Before joining DLA/USH in 2012, Lightcap served as President of Disney Channels Worldwide. She led the successful launch of Disney Junior, a new global brand for kids age 2-7, and drove Disney Channel and Disney XD to deliver record ratings levels while expanding the portfolio's content development pipeline. 

Previously, she was Senior Vice President, programming and creative affairs at Disney Channels Latin America, and Chief Marketing Officer for the Walt Disney Company Latin America -- leading Disney Channel, Disney XD and Playhouse Disney Channel (now Disney Junior) throughout the region, and heading marketing for all lines of business, including film, consumer products and digital media, in addition to television. Prior to her 11-year tenure at Disney, Lightcap worked at Fox Latin American Channels and 20th Century Fox Home Entertainment.
