Kwame Alexander is a poet, educator, and New York Times Bestselling author of 36 books, including Becoming Muhammad Ali, co-authored with James Patterson, and his Newbery medal-winning novel, The Crossover. He is the creator and executive producer of The Crossover TV series on Disney+. A regular contributor to NPR's Morning Edition, Kwame recently returned from the UK where he served as the Innovator-in-Residence at the American School in London from 2019-2021. In 2018, he opened the Barbara E. Alexander Memorial Library and Health Clinic in Ghana, as a part of LEAP for Ghana, an international literacy program he co-founded. The fall of 2022 will see the release of book one of a new trilogy, The Door of No Return.
