Multi-Emmy Award®-winning producer Kane Lee heads content at Baobab Studios and has executive produced all the studio’s groundbreaking works including Baba Yaga (starring Kate Winslet, Daisy Ridley, Jennifer Hudson, Glenn Close), Paper Birds (starring Ed Norton), Bonfire, Crow: The Legend (starring John Legend, Oprah Winfrey), Jack, Asteroids! and Invasion!. He most recently produced Namoo for the studio, from Oscar®-nominated director Erick Oh. Lee has always led at the intersection of technology and media. He masterminded the first-ever adaptation of VR IP into theatrical feature film, with Roth Kirschenbaum Films (Maleficent, Alice in Wonderland), partnered with Baobab to bring Invasion! to the silver screen and also set up landmark first-look theatrical and streaming deals for VR IP. Outside of his work for Baobab, Lee is also a producer on such highly anticipated movies and series ranging from The Tiger’s Apprentice at Paramount, Oni at Netflix with director Dice Tsutsumi and Tonko House, 5 Worlds at Nickelodeon, The School for Good and Evil with director Paul Feig at Netflix, and writer/director Jennifer Lee’s The Way Between. Prior to joining Baobab, Lee held leadership positions as Vice President at Jane Startz Productions and in production at Blue Sky Studios, with credits including Discovery/Hasbro’s Emmy Award®-winning series Spooksville, 20th Century Fox’s Horton Hears a Who!, Ice Age: The Meltdown, Robots, and more. He is on the Producers Council of the PGA and is an advisor in interactive media for the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences.
