Atypical Approaches: Engaging kids on the spectrum

According to 2023 CDC data, one in 36 kids in the US is now diagnosed with autism spectrum disorder—and that prevalence has nearly doubled since 2012. To reflect and appeal to this growing audience on a global scale, we’re taking a closer look at a pair of new series concepts in the works that are backed by strong support from broadcasters. They each take a different approach to tapping into what is a very real market demand, and both have a lot of merit to consider.
