Hyperconnected. Independent. Self-directed. Continuous learners. Global thinkers. Pragmatic. Stability-seekers. Circa 2019, these were universally accepted as some of the defining characteristics of Gen Alpha (born 2010 onwards). But the experience of living through the pandemic has had a profound impact on these future consumers, and as a result, their trajectory has deviated from its path in some very significant ways. Nobody is tracking these changes more closely than the team at McCrindle, which identified Gen Alpha in the first place.
