Accessibility

To request an accessibility accommodation for Kidscreen Summit 2024, please contact us by email at customersupport@kidscreensummit.com. In the meantime, here are some general Q&As to help you understand the service options that will be available at the event.

How do I request an accessible hotel room at the Marriott Marquis San Diego?
Guests can request a wheelchair-accessible or hearing-accessible room when booking. For rooms that are already booked, please call the Front Desk at +1-619-234-1500 to make this request retroactively.

Wheelchair accessibility and mobility
All floors are accessible by elevator. The hotel also has an accessible transit drop-off area located at the main entrance, as well as entrances to the event space, fitness center, business center, outdoor pool and all restaurants that are wheelchair-accessible.

Are there accessible washrooms on all floors where the event is taking place?
Yes. All public-access washrooms located in and around the event space have at least one wheelchair-accessible stall.

Do you provide companion passes for support persons?
Any attendee who requires the physical assistance of a support person can request a Companion Pass at no charge. This support person must accompany the attendee needing assistance in order to be permitted to enter sessions and networking events. Please email customersupport@kidscreensummit.com to discuss your needs.

Do you allow service animals at the event?
Kidscreen Summit welcomes ADA-recognized service animals that are trained and certified to do work or perform tasks for people with physical disabilities. They must have proper service animal certification, and they must wear their vest at the event. Animals that provide comfort or emotional support do not qualify as service animals under the ADA, and are not permitted at Kidscreen events.

PLEASE NOTE: Attendees who are staying at the Marriott Marquis San Diego with a service animal must inform the Front Desk upon check-in as the hotel has different cleaning processes if animals are present.

Does Kidscreen Summit provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpreters?
Upon request, Kidscreen Summit can provide an ASL interpreter for sessions taking place in the two main conference rooms. Attendees who require ASL interpretation for any other sessions or business meetings will need to arrange these services themselves and request a Companion Pass accommodation (see above).

Is there accessible seating available at sessions?
Accessible front-row seating will be reserved and available in the two main conference rooms on a first-come, first-served basis. If you have specific seating requirements for any of our other session rooms, please contact customersupport@kidscreensummit.com to make arrangements.
