Henrietta Hurford-Jones

Henrietta Hurford-Jones is Director of Children’s at BBC Worldwide Channels.

Henrietta is responsible for commissioning and developing a new stream of original programme content for the international CBeebies channels. She also manages the global investment process for all children’s programming and brand properties across BBC Worldwide, working closely with all of the company’s operating divisions.

Hurford-Jones joined BBC Worldwide in July 2010 as part of BBC Worldwide’s ongoing strategy to work with the UK and international production community to create relevant content for its network of localised channels, including the international CBeebies channels and programming blocks.

Prior to her appointment here, Hurford-Jones was Director, International Kids & Family at the RDF Media Group (now Zodiak Group). Before this, she worked as a Programming Consultant for JimJam Television and spent five years as Director of European Programming on Jetix (formerly Fox Kids Europe Limited) at Disney.  Henrietta was Deputy Director of Sales at HIT Entertainment plc for six years before that.
